Widget Experience Improvements: Deferred Verification, Drawer Pre-Chat, and Carousel Product Cards

This update includes three experience improvements designed to reduce friction, improve product presentation, and give help content a clearer place in the widget flow.
Deferred Cloudflare Turnstile Verification
- Previously, verification could appear as soon as a visitor opened the chat widget
- Now the challenge runs only when the visitor actually sends their first message
- Shoppers can browse the welcome message and quick replies before they decide to chat
This makes the first interaction feel less intrusive and keeps verification tied to a meaningful action.
Carousel Layout for Product Cards
- Product cards in the storefront chat widget now support two layouts:
InlineandCarousel Inlinekeeps cards embedded inside the AI message for a denser conversation viewCarouseldisplays cards in a standalone horizontal row, making images, pricing, and variants easier to scan- This setting only affects the storefront chat widget
- The admin conversation detail page continues to use the inline layout for consistency
Quick Help Guides Moved to the Widget Homepage
- Help content that previously appeared on the pre-chat page now appears on the widget Homepage
- Since the pre-chat form is now a drawer, the Homepage becomes a more natural place for help content
- This gives help articles, manuals, policy content, and campaign pages a more structured entry point
How to Configure It
- Product card layout: go to Setup > Advanced Settings > Product Recommendation
- Homepage and help content: enable Homepage under Basic Settings > Enhance Your Experience, then configure content under Setup > Widget Settings > Quick Help Guides
When This Is Useful
- When you want less friction before the first message
- When you want a stronger visual layout for recommended products
- When you want help content to live in a clearer part of the widget experience
