Add-ons are useful when your store needs more capacity in a specific area without a full plan upgrade.

#Main add-on types

Common add-ons include:

• Extra Tokens
• Product Recommendation Limit Increase
• Knowledge Base Limit Increase

#Extra Tokens

Extra Tokens are the most flexible option.

Use them when:

• You want pay-as-you-go usage
• Your subscription token quota is temporarily not enough
• A campaign or seasonal spike drives higher AI traffic

Important behavior:

• Subscription tokens are used first
• Extra Tokens are used after subscription tokens run out
• Extra Tokens roll over across billing cycles

Extra Tokens are sold at a standard rate of $1 = 200,000 tokens, with a $10 minimum purchase. Larger purchases receive a tiered bonus: $20 receives 25% extra, $30 receives 50%, $40 receives 75%, and $50 or more receives the maximum 100% bonus. They are best for temporary spikes; predictable ongoing usage is usually better served by a subscription plan.

#Product recommendation limit increase

Use this when:

• Your current plan is otherwise fine
• You only need more products participating in AI recommendations

#Knowledge base limit increase

Use this when:

• Your documentation or FAQ coverage has grown
• You need more room without changing plans immediately

#When add-ons are better than a plan upgrade

Choose add-ons when:

• The need is temporary
• The extra demand is concentrated in one area
• You are not ready for a larger monthly plan commitment

Choose a higher plan when the demand is stable and broad across multiple limits.
